Build Quality & Design

The aluminum frame gives the K2 V2 a premium heft that budget keyboards lack. At around 660g without cables, it stays firmly planted on your desk without feeling unnecessarily heavy.

The ABS keycaps are decent but not exceptional – they'll develop shine over time. This is the one area where Keychron could improve, though PBT options are available at extra cost.

Typing Experience

With Gateron G Pro switches (we tested the Brown variant), the typing experience is smooth and satisfying. The tactile bump is present but not overpowering, making it suitable for both typing and light gaming.

The hot-swap PCB means you can easily swap out switches later if you want a different feel – a huge plus for those new to the hobby who might want to experiment.

Battery & Connectivity

Keychron claims up to 72 hours of use with RGB off, and our testing confirms this is achievable with moderate use. With RGB on, expect 3-4 days between charges.

Bluetooth 5.1 provides stable connection with up to 3 device pairing. Switching between devices is quick (2-3 seconds) once you get used to the Fn key shortcuts.

Final Thoughts

The Keychron K2 V2 remains one of the best value propositions in the wireless mechanical keyboard space, especially for Indian buyers. At ₹7,999, it offers features that compete with keyboards twice its price.

If you're a Mac user, this is essentially a no-brainer. For Windows users, it's still excellent, though you might consider alternatives if you need 2.4GHz wireless for gaming.
